At the tender age of 32, Blossoming Butterfly's founder Nicole Miller was diagnosed with stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Triple Negative). All she could think about were her children as her life began to fast forward unexpectedly. She battled chemotherapy for 7 months followed by 6 weeks of radiation that she endured 5 days a week. Her body started to change and betray her physically and emotionally as she was physically weakened and felt helpless, hopeless and displeasing.
While undergoing treatment, Nicole was blessed to meet and gain friendships with older women who also experienced breast cancer. It was during her experience, where she realized there weren’t any younger women who spoke about their journey with cancer. As her journey continues, God has allowed her to influence and encourage others through their own journey with cancer. She has shared the story, both publicly and privately, of how cancer has affected her and her family in the name of bringing awareness and uplifting others.
The women who came into Nicole's life during her battle were very helpful and supported her both emotionally and financially. Her goal with Blossoming Butterfly, Inc. is to provide an abundance of emotional and educational support as well as financial assistance for those impacted by breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and uterine cancer.
